Thursday Night

For those arriving on Thursday

The party doesn't start officially until Friday, but the Airbnb is open for business starting 4pm on Thursday for anyone arriving early!

We will chill by the pool, decorate the house in style, and order some of Austin's finest for takeout.

FRIDAY - BRUNCH AT LAUNDRETTE

For those arriving early on Friday morning, we’ll be grabbing brunch at Laundrette.

"Housed inside (you guessed it) a converted laundromat, Launderette is probably the most attractive restaurant on the East Side. The sleek, beautifully-designed spot looks nothing like its residential surroundings and grungier neighbors, but such is the case with so much in Austin these days. Fortunately, Launderette isn’t just trying to get by on looks - the food here is actually good.
The menu is somewhere in between American and Mediterranean (with influences from all over the world) small plates. The way you do Launderette right is to share everything - and do not, under any circumstances, skip dessert. This is about as ideal of a spot as you’ll find for girls night or a next-level brunch, with a great patio and excellent cocktails."

Saturday - Sunset Donut Boat & Bats

We will be taking a Duffy boat and cooler filled with drinks & snacks out to Lady Bird Lake, and going bat-watching at sunset!

I recently heard the bats might have gone South for winter, so we will see if any decided to stick around.

Claire will be guiding us to dinner followed by a bar crawl of Rainey Street!

Dinner will be at either Geraldine's or the food trucks. Both places are on Rainey Street.

We plan to hit up these bars, but let Claire know if you have suggestions for other spots!

The bungalow
Bungalow is probably best known for the “I hate you so much” wall it has conveniently placed between the bathroom, but that gimmick actually doesn’t do the rest of the place justice. Everyone loves this place. The drinks are great, there’s typically a DJ playing songs that make you want to dance, and the glass walls make people-watching easy. The inside bar gets pretty crowded, so if you’re in a rush to be not-sober, head out back to grab your first drink. There’s usually a taco truck in the back as well, so if you’re hungry, a stop there is ideal.

Augustine
With a spacious front patio, indoor space and plenty of room in the backyard, Augustine is "a little classy, a whole lot of groovy," with plenty of room to get down. With a colorful cocktail menu, great photo ops and a glowing green sign, it's impossible to miss this bar. “Best place to dance”

The Container Bar
Container Bar is exactly what you expect it to be - shipping containers stacked to create the best courtyard on Rainey. Day or night, this place is usually packed and while the drinks aren’t anything you won’t see at most other bars on the street, it’s one of the best spots to come with a bunch of people who are really into cargo scenery and drinking outside

Lustre pearl
The original Rainey Street Lustre Pearl may be gone, but its newer location is also great - it’s the kind of place where you could easily hang out for hours without noticing the time pass. You’ll find games, frozen drinks, and an upstairs deck ideal for checking out part of the skyline. Day or night, whenever you start drinking here, you probably won’t want to leave.

Icenhauer’s
Icenhauer’s makes great cocktails, including their highly popular (and very sweet) sangria in a jar, and it’s the kind of bar where you can stay a while with just a few friends or gather a big crew. Bring your dog and stay a while - this is as close as you’ll get to a backyard BBQ feel, minus the meat sweats. Make it to one of their “Super Soul Sunday” dance parties with live music if you can.

SATURDAY - BRUNCH AT JACOBY’S

Saturday Brunch at Jacoby's!

"Jacoby’s is the kind of place that could convince anyone to move to Texas. Yes, there’s Southern food. But the space (part ranch, part country club) is also charming as hell, and there’s a picnic table-covered, wide open backyard overlooking the river that’s picturesque enough to make you feel like you’ve escaped town for the hill country. On the whole, the food won’t blow your mind - but it doesn’t need to. It’s highly satisfying and comforting, feelings that are increased exponentially by the setting. If you come here and skip the chicken fried steak or onion rings then you’ve done the whole thing wrong."

Saturday Activities

After brunch on Saturday, we will walk down S Congress Avenue and to Barton Creek. Alternatively, the pool may be open for business, and we could hit up the Brew & Brew (www.thebrewandbrew.com)

Claire will be our guide for the afternoon! Let her know if you have any suggestions.

We'll aim to be back at the house by 5pm, so that we can get dressed into our finest granny outfits to hit up pedal bar and 6th street.

Dinner at the House

We will be pregaming and eating dinner at the house before hitting up the PubCrawler and 6th street!

Dinner will be takeout from Torchy's Tacos.

Friday - PubCrawler

Pedaling through Austin by storm dressed as grannies. Yeeeeeham!

Saturday - Night Out on 6th Street

The grannies continue onto the Dirty Sixth!

Sam will be guiding us on a bar crawl! We plan to hit up these bars, but let Sam know if you have suggestions for other spots!

- Concrete Cowboy: 719 W 6th St, Austin, TX 78701
- Rustic Tap: 613 W 6th St, Austin (live music till midnight)
- The Dogwood: 715 W 6th St, Austin, TX 78701
- The Ranch: 710 W 6th St, Austin, TX 78701

And many more… !

Sunday - Brunch

One last brunch together with the entire Mezan Clan!

We will have a Mimosa bar, and Sam will be taking orders for breakfast tacos (Emma's friend recommends migas). We will rest and drink some more, as we recover from the night before.

Sunday - Activities

Sam will be taking us on a brewery / winery tour of some of Austin's finest! If you have any questions or suggestions, reach out to Sam!

Farewell & BRUNCH AT ELIZABETH’S CAFE

Check out is at 10am, so we will pack our stuff and head to one final brunch together and say farewell. Next time we all see each, Hannah will be #gettingkitched!

Brunch will be at 11am at Elizabeth's Cafe:

"A neighborhood Vietnamese cafe and French bakery in South Austin with sunny dining rooms and a shady garden patio."
