Group Breakfast at Hotel before a Sightseeing Tour

North Shore: Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver's spectacular North Shore with breath taking views of the city, ocean and surrounding mountains. Highlights include the 137 metre (450 feet) Capilano Suspension Bridge and the Grouse Mountain Skyride.

Capilano Suspension Bridge: Take a walk across the 137 metres (450 feet) long and 70 metres (230 feet) high bridge perched above the Capilano Canyon then stroll along Treetops Adventure, seven suspension bridges through the evergreens taking you above the forest floor for a squirrel’s eye view of a thriving coastal rainforest.

Grouse Mountain: Take a gondola to the apex of Grouse Mountain, climbing to 4,100 feet above sea level. At the summit, take in the incredible views of Vancouver and the Pacific Ocean. 

Day 3: Vancouver to Kamloops

Motorcoach Transfer: Vancouver Hotel to Rocky Mountaineer Station

Vancouver to Kamloops: Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Vancouver Station at 7:30am PT. Travel from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior.

On today’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the BC Interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Breakfast & lunch are included onboard.

Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake into Kamloops between 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm PT. Spend the evening exploring the city of Kamloops or relaxing in your hotel room.

Day 4: Kamloops to Jasper

Coach Transfer: Your Hotel to Kamloops Station

Kamloops to Jasper: Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Kamloops Station at 7:30am PT. Today your journey continues north and east to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will be surrounded by dramatic scenery as you follow the banks of the North Thompson River through the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains, climbing ever nearer to the high peaks of the Continental Divide.

Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet) the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, Pyramid Falls, and the climb over the Yellowhead Pass into Jasper National Park. Breakfast and lunch will be served onboard.

Your rail journey ends this evening between 7:30 pm and 9:00pm MT on arrival in the resort town of Jasper.

National Parks Pass: Your admission to Canadian national parks is included in your package. Your pass is only valid for the number of days that you have booked accommodation in a National Park through Rocky Mountaineer.

Day 5: Jasper

Group Breakfast at Hotel before a Sightseeing Tour

Jasper: Board your private motorcoach for a half-day sightseeing tour of Jasper. Highlights include Pyramid and Patricia Lakes, Maligne Canyon and the Athabasca viewpoint. The remainder of the day is free to explore more of Jasper National Park independently.

Day 6: Jasper to Banff

Group Breakfast at Hotel before a Sightseeing Tour

Jasper to Banff: Depart by private motorcoach for a full day sightseeing tour along the Icefields Parkway, one of the world's most scenic highways. The highlight today is a visit to the Columbia Icefield and an Ice Explorer ride on the Athabasca Glacier.

Ice Explorer: Tour the Athabasca Glacier in a giant six-wheel drive Ice Explorer vehicle while your guide explains the history of this ancient glacier and points out interesting geological features. Think of it like a "monster-truck meets glacier" adventure where you learn new things!

Glacier Skywalk: Consisting of a 400 metre (1,640 feet) interpretive boardwalk and a glass-floored observation platform extending 30 metres (98 feet) out over the Sunwapta Valley, Glacier Skywalk takes spectacular scenery and a rare view of nature to unbelievable heights. The award-winning architecture of the Skywalk is a feat of contemporary design.

Day 7: Banff to Calgary

Lake Louise/Banff to Calgary: Depart by private motorcoach for your full day sightseeing tour.

Banff Gondola: The Banff Gondola is a spectacular eight-minute gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain for 360-degree views of the Banff townsite and its surrounding mountains.

Group Heritage Park Historical Village: Discover How the West was Once at Canada’s largest living history museum, Heritage Park Historical Village. This 127-acre attraction is home to the year-round Gasoline Alley Museum and is nestled on the banks of the Glenmore Reservoir with the picturesque backdrop of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Meet friendly townsfolk in full period costume as you stroll down the wooden boardwalks or pop into any number of working shops, businesses or homes.

Day 8: Depart Calgary
